does anyone have an opinion on this - http://www.xnet.co.nz/

for DSL service do i need a phone line? do i need dial tone?

how does that service compare to telstra?

the latest update from telstra is that they can't wire an overhead cable, 
and they probably won't be able to run a buried cable. in other words, i'm 
probably SOL for getting service from them.

the house previously had phone service but it's turned off, now... in the 
states, you can't get DSL without a dial-tone (aka: phone service). is it 
the same way here? do i have to get a phone line turned on before i can 
subscribe to DSL? any other options?
