It sounds facetious, but it's amazing the number of intriguing
utilities I've found on my system doing just that, then reading man
pages for the results.  Just have a play, for the fun of learning.

Also, one of the 'a' entries on my system is apropos, which is a nice
way to search man pages for a term you are interested in.
