What would be the advantage? It's not going to cost you anything to
upgrade to the next desktop LTS release when it comes out and then you
get another 3 years support. When you do that, you'll reap the benefits
of the intervening period of development and stability improvements.
Speaking as someone who is still running Dapper (the last LTS release),
on my desktop, I can definitely appreciate the stability I have enjoyed
while others have experienced pain with the intervening development
releases. On the other hand, I'm 'gagging' to upgrade now :-)
