Great news - I hadn't realised that. It's a great way to get into the market. 

On similar lines, VMWare ESXi is also free - but all the goodies like management are not. https://www.vmware.com/tryvmware/?p=esxi but I've not had the time/motivation to try it out just yet. Performance however on that platform is fantastic if you want a solution like this.
