Hi Xav
Try CiviCRM http://civicrm.org/.
It is excellent:
- Well designed relational system for managing all types of stakeholder and
stakeholder relationships.
- Quick and clean.
- People can have multiple stakeholder relationships, e.g. be an ordinary
member, a teacher of the oboe and an oboe playing member of the orchestra.
And a donor ...
- It can be integrated with Paypal

NZ example site

Please let the let the list know what you eventually choose and why.
Good luck.

One you could try is freelists.org which currently runs multiple lists
with numerous options. Might be worth checking out.
