What is the detected size of the display, from 'xdpyinfo | grep dimensions'
What sort of monitor are you using? CRT, LCD with analog link, LCD with
digital link?
These questions are about checking that the problem is that the display
content is wrong and not, say, an analog display driving the monitor slightly
wrong — and fixed by adjusting the monitor.
When you say "enlarged" do you mean that there is a visible scaling effect,
or just that they are a little larger than the last time you saw them?
I suggest you look at your window / compositing manager, and check for an
accessibility tool configured to magnify the screen. That could cause the
effect you are looking for.
I would suspect this if the dimensions of the display are correct and you have
either a digital link to the display, or there are visible scaling artifacts.
Regards,
Daniel
