I checked out the Viking modem sold by Traverse in Australia. There
is one small problem.
No telepermit (I rang them this morning to check).
The new Sangoma S519 (available in Australia) looks like it would do
the same job -- good suggestion -- but, again, no sign of a New
Zealand reseller who has obtained a telepermit.
If enough people were interested, it might be possible to get the
telepermit (both products claim to meet the necessary NZ standards:
AS/NZS 60950, PTC 273). But it would have to be quite a lot of people
(yell out if interested).
