Are you sure that is a T21 with a 1200MHz processor? That line shipped
with 750 to 850MHz P3 processors only, as far as I can tell...
Anyway, more or less any current distribution should run fairly
comfortably on it, provided you have binary packages.[1]
You shouldn't have huge trouble running either GNOME or KDE on that
platform, and even Firefox, Thunderbird or OpenOffice should be vaguely
tolerable.
Dropping another 256MB of memory into it would be nice, but not
essential.
Was there some particular reason you were concerned about the
distribution you put on it?
