Have you installed the FULL OOo suite?  Some OOo components were not
included on the Ubuntu 9.04 CD because of space constraints.  I am not
sure which package provides the functionality, but the option is present
in the menus for OOo writer on my system, and I have installed the main
meta-package, openoffice.org, which will pull in the packages that were
omitted from the CD.
