[wellylug] Presentation idea for September 30th

Hi All,

I've just joined the group, so hope this is the appropriate place to
post this.

I was just looking for the date of the next meeting so I could tag
along, and noticed a recent message in the discussions asking if anyone
wanted to do a presentation on the 30th. It occurred to me I might be
able to help with this, so I figure I'll jump in the deep end and offer
to do a presentation about some stuff I'm doing at work at the moment.

A bit of background info:
* I work for a Wellington based company called Surveylab, developing a
device called ikeGPS, which is a handheld integrated GPS, Laser Range
Finder, Digital Compass, 5MP Camera, and ruggedized PDA (www.ikegps.com
for more info)
* The 5MP camera in our latest product is running embedded linux on a
Texas Instruments DaVinci Multimedia processor.

I don't know what the usual format is for presentations, but I can
probably talk through some slides for half an hour or so about the
process involved in developing for linux in an embedded environment like
this if that would be useful...

Please let me know if this sounds good, and I can start working on some
slides...
