Truth be told I'm too old and certainly not hip and cool so can't speak for the 'hip young linux peeps' :) , but I've met a few very interesting people on this very list - certainly one or two that, should opportunity come up, would be getting a little note asking if they'd like to send in a cv.  I'd also love to hear where people go to find staff/work, and if the recruitment agency experience is really past its use by date.
