Wow, HP's website is crap, and that's cutting them slack.

Noel Leeming's website suggest that in NZ you get an HP all in one for $1299 but an iMac for $2039. So that's $750ish, not a small amount.

Back to the original problem, that looks like a very sad kernel. Make sure you disable all video options in the bootloader, let it run old fashioned text mode. If that fails it gets harder, you could try hitting scroll lock as soon as the error shows up, that might get you the root cause.
