Ok Jeff

My ipconfig results from XP are:

Windows IP Configuration

Ethernet adapter Affordable:
        Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

PPP adapter Telecom:
        Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 210.54.110.86
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 210.54.110.86

I can get a ping return in terminal from 202.27.219.13, so it is
reaching the internet,
but cant get a ping return from google.co.nz, so that figures it cant
resolve a Domain Name.
But how and what do I set the DNS on my Linux box and XP box that will
work, but not bugger up my dialup connection?

Glenn.
