[wellylug] mp3 plugin for Banshee

Yeah I opened help and looked for a solution. The only mention I could
find about plugins was restricted plugins for DVD playing. Even
clicking on those brings up the Ubuntu Software Center. But the point
is, it does nothing. It wont search, you just type in mp3 into the
search box and it starts searching, and does nothing. Even if I click
on install an application from the main menu, same thing happens. All
I get is that Java-like spinning what ever, and nothing.
Its like it can't find the repository.
Ive tried clicking on an mp3 that I have imported in Banshee, and it
brings up the 'missing plugin' dialog box, when I click on search, it
just disappears and does nothing. Banshee itself can find the
Internet, this I know because it has downloaded all the album covers
for the music I have imported. And I can play Audio Cd's through
banshee, so the sound is working.
