Funnily enough in intelligence circles their definition of 'Open Source'
is quite different.
That in-fact means intelligence gained through data which is found
in-the-open. Just like our public mailing lists, IRC chatrooms and such
like.
So in the context of the LUG you should consider everything we post
here, and on the web, as open slather to anyone who wants it, including
intelligence organisations.
I was slow to join Facebook, and cautious around its alleged ties to CIA
and so on, but frankly, it's up to you how much (or little) you choose
to place into a 'cloud' service. I know plenty of folks who put next to
nothing onto Facebook, and I don't begrudge them at all.
