Steve,
What kind of Broadcom chip is it, exactly? if you open a terminal and do a
sudo lspci | grep -i broad

it ought to tell you.

That would tell you what chipset the wireless card contains, and that
ought to point toward the proper driver. Anyway, it's the best place to
start.
