[wlug_org] Social evening to get rid of LUG $$ (was: My reasons for leaving)

Re a curry night paid for bt LUG:


Any use of the funds should be demonstrably & clearly in line with the Wellylug
objectives, and IMHO open to all members (ie: no age/gender or other
discrimination)

I think a social event where Open Source software & Linux (even Debian) can be
discussed is truly in line with the goals of the LUG, so as a cabal member I
have no problems supporting the use of the LUG $$ in such a way (provided I'm
able to attend :-)

However, I do think any use of LUG $$ needs to be voted on by the wider
membership for approval. I'd prefer the suggestion being made on the wellylug
list & a vote at the meeting???
