How much the cabal does without consultation is pretty grey.... but I suggest
that deciding the $$ go on a meal, then offering the members a vote on
ethnicity is going a bit too far. The idea of a meal, along with an explanation
as to why we believe this is a good use of funds should, IMHO, be agreed by the
membership, not us. If we have other options, like stick it in a bank account,
these should also be presented to the membership as alternatives.....

But that's just my opinion as to where the line gets drawn. Given the role we
(as the cabal) have, and how informal it is, I'd tend to be particulaly
cautious about pre-empting any membership decision regarding $$$ or assets.
