There has been discussion about having a separate list for buy sell swap
etc amongst welly lug members because the list hosts didn't want such stuff
on the main list (on pain of death).
I think someone was going to do something about it, but I haven't heard any
progress.

So having just been playing with a new server (debian) I installed a list
server.
This machine is up 24/7 so shouldn't have any problems serving such a list.

I have setup a list called wlug_trade, details:

List-Help: <mailto:minimalist@list.afraid.org?subject=help>
List-Subscribe:
<mailto:minimalist@list.afraid.org?subject=subscribe%20wlug_trade>
List-Unsubscribe:
<mailto:minimalist@list.afraid.org?subject=unsubscribe%20wlug_trade>
List-Post: <mailto:wlug_trade@list.afraid.org>
List-Owner: <mailto:wlug_trade-owner@list.afraid.org>

There is no archiving of messages, and replies go back to the poster, not
the list.

What do you guys think? Is this suitable? Any objections? Shall I
announce this in the main list?

I'm happy to administer it, but if the group wants someone else to that's
fine (but no web interface, admin via email).

Of course it will only be of use if a significant number of people bother
subscribing.
