When I suggested the questionnaire to Jethro at the 'fest I was thinking of
fairly open questions such as:
was the event what you expected?,
did you get what you wanted?,
what problems did you see?
what else would you like to have seen there?
(could also ask those who didn't attend if it was due to some shortfall
on our part, timing, location, notification)
I think the idea of having the questionnaire on the website is a good one
in that you could allow people to give completely anonymous feedback
(unless you record their IP addresses ;-) - which I think is the best way
to get honest criticism.
Apologies to you Brent, but I think your example questions sound like those
from the PR section of some corporate body, but don't get to the nitty
gritty stuff that needs to be asked ;-)
I'd also suggest asking people ASAP while the event is still warm in their
recall and they can be bothered replying.
(And by the way I think the event was very well done, congrats to all who
sailed in her ;-)
--- Tony (no, not that one, the other one)
PS I'm strong on privacy but I could hardly believe that anyone would have
to consider for more than a second whether a followup questionnaire was a
reasonable thing to do.
