These look very helpful Damon. From my point of view,
it would be useful to keep some flexibility around the
rules, particularly the rule against advertising.
One of the things we commmonly do in the LUG is to
burn copies of various distros for each other. I have
also picked up the odd piece of free, and useful,
hardware.
I think it would be a shame if the opportunity to do
these things was lost.
However, Ewen is hosting the whole shebang, and he
made his opinions quite clear in his reply to your
e-mail.
I guess whatever the rules are, those of us who don't
like them can just stay of the list. Meetings will
always provide the opportunity for CD swaps etc.
And, just to test the boundaries, BUGGER! :-) What
does constitute bad language?
