That last one is always interesting. Say I'm gay, a pedophile, sadist,
non-vegetarian, no politics-in-LUG, etc... let's have some fun! I'll treat you
just like I'd like you to treat me :-) Your preferences don't count.

A very self centred guideline that assumes everyone else likes what I like.
This discussion has largely arisen because this is not the case.



I prefer the Wiccan rede to the Golden Rule. From memory:
 "Do what thou wilt an' hurt no-one"

Implies respect & consideration for both parties, ie: do whatever you want
provided neither you or they consider it hurtful.
