[wlug_org] Second draft of WellyLUG guidelines

Personally, I agree with your statement that its just a word. But so is
everything we type between spaces... Given that most major Linux & OS
endeavours were & are managed by committees, I'd say its not archaic, but a
personal idiosyncracy. Given the open nature of the LUG, & to encourage your
support & input to the cabal, I'm happy to not use the commit* word officially.
(But IMHO if it quacks, etc. :-)

I do think the "advertising" ban needs to be worded carefully if it's a rule.
Like commit*s, bad ones are worse than a waste of time, they are only followed
if they make enough sense to be respected. It will only take one member to to
break the rule & ruin the service Ewen provides for the rest of us.

Please let's get it right (call this one my idiosyncracy: a personal distaste
for stupid & unworkable rules :-)
