Not at all. Both the guidelines and the possibility of a regular
mailout listing them have been discussed at both at the Real Life(tm)
meetings and on the org list for the last couple of months. If I recall
correctly, nearly everybody at the last meeting at Lanplace were in
favour of the proposed guidelines and regularly posting them to the
list.

Even if making it to the meetings is a challenge for you, you were
welcome to have input on the subject on this list. The org list is not
a secret - it's been mentioned repeatedly both at the meetings and on
the main list.

If you're that averse to having the guidelines email touch your mailbox,
set up a procmail rule to zap it.

It's far from a "huge email" - negligable in comparison to number of
messages to the list every month (567 in April, 408 and counting for
May)

If you find that the group doesn't serve your needs well enough, then by
all means go elsewhere. However it's not realistic to expect the
majority yield to your view, especially when your actions have
demonstrated that you have no interest in providing constructive input
in the future of the group.=20
