Please guys, tone down the agro, don't feed it (the suggestion to 
unsubscribe and label of idiots doesn't help anyone).

It is standard, almost de rigueur, for mailing lists to have a regular 
automated monthly posting of such things as Frequently Asked Questions 
(FAQ) and Guidelines as to what is expected (eg Linux discussion on 
wellylug, org stuff on wlug_org) etc.  Yes if they're excessively long you 
might post a summary with a link to a detailed version, but by long I mean 
hundreds of lines!  So what is proposed is the common ettiquette.
