Assuming that other _org members don't mind the traffic, I agree.

And being involved in NZOSS, I agree that personally I think WellyLUG 
should be leading this... with all practical assistance rendered.
But i'm not on NZOSS Council.

I've not been able to pay much attention to this thread to date but will 
do what I can (time is a big limiting factor presently) to help...
