Greetings and felicitations to you all.
new member and new Linux user poses a question.

I have installed Ubuntu Feisty to two computers, full updates installed,
no windows left in Our house!!

I am not using DHCP, but have assigned ip addresses as follows.

Router/modem gizmo is 192.168.1.1
bobtower 192.168.1.2
printer (with ethernet adaptor) 192.168.1.3
siwsan-desktop 192.168.1.4

we can both:
	use the printer
	surf the web
	email (via different email providers)
	ping each other

we CANNOT access each others computers.

How the hell does one network two computers together in Linux? Please be
easy on me, I am still learning the language, very very steep up hill
climb it is too.

Regards. Bob
