On the gateway, run "tcpdump -i eth1 -s 1600 -w capture1".

Boot the workstation.

Ping the router and the gateway.

kill (ctrl-c) tcpdump.
take eth0 down/up on the workstation, then repeat the above instructions with 'capture2' instead of 'capture1'.

Mail me the two capture files and I'll have a look :-)
