need to configure the Xserver inside RH8 to see the hardware that vmware
emulates. RH8 will not be able to detect the GEForce4 card you have, because
it is effectivly hidden behind VMware's hardware abstraction layer.

You will need to install vmware tools within linux. From memory, the vmware
toolbox includes a script the configure X appropriatly.

The usual steps to install VMware tools are..

1. Start RH8 running inside of VMware.
2. from the vmware application, choose Settings, VMware Tools Install
3. in RH8, as root, mount the CDrom ( mount /mnt/cdrom )
4. copy the tar file from the cdrom to your home folder (cp /mnt/cdrom/*.tar
~)
5. untar it (tar -zxvf nameoftar.tar.gz)
6. cd vmwaretoolsdir
7. ./install.pl
8. umount /mnt/cdrom

Hope that helps, I've done this before, so email me if you get stuck.

Cheers
Glen
