[wellylug] Winmodems...

I have a problem getting the lucant winmodem working on my hp desktop.

I've tried both the rpm drivers & the source. When I try to dial the
modem I get the message 'Failed to activate ppp0 with Error 7'.

I've changed the bios os setting to 'other', like it says in the readme.
I remember getting this to work in mandrake 6.0 with no problems...

I'm running Redhat 9.0, with the default kernel.

I've attached my /etc/modules.conf file, if anyone wants to take a look
at it.
I've tried loading the module manually, but the system says that the
module couldn't be found.

Has anyone had this problem?

thanks,
