Can you resolve mail.araitanga.com and pop3.paradise.net.nz from the
command line?

If all else fails you could try doing "host resolves" by adding the
following to your /etc/hosts file:

66.70.75.100    mail.araitanga.com
203.96.152.6    pop3.paradise.net.nz
