I've had a reasonable amount of success with the generic VESA video
driver (man vesa!). You may not get all the extra features of a more
specific driver, but you'll get the 'Graphics' out of your 'Extreme
Graphics 2' at least. From XF86Config-4:

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Generic Video Card"
	Driver "vesa"
	BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
EndSection

where the numbers (1:0:0 for bus:device:function) in the BusID are from
the corresponding output of lspci or /proc/pci. This option is actually
optional, but might pay off in an on-board chipset kind of environment.
