Pop over to http://moviefest.org.nz/03/resources.html#linux for a brief list I compiled last year.... I don't think there is ANYthing that compares with iMovie that isn't made by Apple.. but you could try.. :)
I fyou need the use of a mac for video editing -- try welmac -- http://nmug.welmac.org.nz for a start... ;)
