I am trying to get WoL working in Redhat9 with a Realtek 8139C netcard.

If I manually use ethtool:
ethtool -s eth0 wol g
the machine wakes up as expected after a poweroff.

To make it permanent I add
post-install 8139too /usr/sbin/ethtool -s eth0 wol g
into /etc/modules.conf after the alias line, reboot, and it does not stick.
ethtool eth0 always shows wol is 'd' meaning disabled.
I cannot see any erros in logs or reasons it wouldnt work, it is recommended
in several pleaces as being correct.

I am posting here in the hope a user 'mitupo' found an answer as he asked
the same question sometime ago, which I found only in google's cache.
I looked in the archive but could not find the post. (the thread seems to
have been on 3-8th July 2003)

Thanks for any help from anyone!

Rich
