In think the new plans offer a viable alternative for "residential" use... bonus if you live inna flat - with a few other ppl to pay for it too, and the excess usable charges are slowly dropping.

Most.. ;) I think my largest month so far was close to 15GB on dial-up. Like you say.. leave it on overnight (and all day). The joy of free local calls and all you can eat dial-up.

Despite them being called "paradise Highspeed/Lightspeed" plans, paradise's webpage on traffic etc still isn't updated: still mentions 2c/20c for national/international. with the quote: "Any traffic to or from New Zealand sites (national traffic) is charged at 1/10th of the normal traffic charge, while traffic to or from a site outside New Zealand (international traffic) is charged at the full traffic rate."
