[wellylug] Printing in Linux -- with CUPS and GimpPrinter Drivers

Hey, 

I have this going, but was wondering if anyone could let me know why its
not very good at doing Gray Scale?

When I print out color images / fonts / spreadsheets with backgrounds or
anythign that is not plain text, it doesnt seem to come out nicely..

Could anyone suggest something that I should check in my CUPS or printer
settings or anything .. 

Windows prints nice - but mine looks nasty...

Any ideas :)
