I absolutely agree, and despite the wording above I don't mean to imply that 
_this_ list is entirely inappropriate, but I expect you would encounter more 
Orcon adsl customers (potentially suffering and solving this issue) on a list 
targeted to NZ adsl users.

By this rationale the NZLUG might prove more useful.

And I wish him the absolute best of luck; just wondering if he might come upon 
more people in the same boat (and with more answers) on a more targeted list? 
I know Wellylug can solve just about anything but it's not always the 
definitive source :-)
