But you must admit that it was funny! :)

"Maeden agan" as protagoras truthfully said. An this is
more so true for the less virtuous and less laborious
habit of top-posting ;)

Well, I'm one of those who can't stand it, and if it's
just because it's a bad habit. Basically it boils down
to the fact that one doesn't want to waste a thought
or any effort on the possibility that the correspondence
may turn into a thread, an ongoing communication.

I admit that it someone adds a one-liner to a one-liner
it may appear acceptable - but in the light of forming
a bad habit it's still not a good thing to do.

I dare to argue that :) ... if something like this thread for
example were presented in top-poster fashion you'd have a
hard time to figure out which of my statemens refer to which
of yours. If a third or fourth opinion were prepended it
would become hopeless... the thing with the top-poster is
that he will always put his entire response at the top, never
refer to individual items. It's easier. For him, not for the
flow of a conversation.

A: because it messes up threading
Q: why should I not reply by top-posting?
A: No.
Q: Should I include quotations after my reply?
