The objectives of the course are not very challenging?

/*To have Open Office in your hand and ready to down load on your home
computer./
/*Have an understanding of some of the possibilities of this software
for use in your home./
I would suggest that perhaps a Live CD of a Linux distribution with OO
2.1 be given out, so they can use it from Day 1. What are the
registration for the course so far? They are not expecting to be users
of OO by the look of the course objective. It is largely a marketing
opportunity. I guess they would want the Windows version available as well?
I have looked at the ICDL syllabus. It is comprehensive, suggests 15
hours before testing. We would not be testing. The Newlands course is
16 hours, with 8 sets of startup and end of lesson overheads. Looks
quite do-able.
