That sounds like it has lots of potential.

I agree that looking harder at the website is a good idea, but I would say
that the monthly meetings are a good thing to keep going. There can be an
element of disconnect happening just through the internet - getting and
talking with people face to face is a good thing to happen.
I think getting together helps create the element of community and
goodwill that is less obvious in other operating systems. Sure there are
people that all they want is a working computer, but there are others that
like to share and show off (or be shown off to) on a regular basis.
People just want someone to help get their email working, others want to
discuss how open source applications can change the world. Being able to
do those things, are for some people, what WellyLUG is in part about.
Monthly meetings can help bring that all together. Bigger, six monthly
meetings ('expos' even) are something we can plan as an event like we do
for the Installfest.
Just some random thoughts.
