Well, the thing with the speed is more relevant for the photo-
taking than the transfer to the PC.  Fast CF cards will allow 
you too shoot series of consecutive shots more easily.  If
that is not what you're after, by all means, get an SD or xSD :)

We have an Olympus C-8080 (not an SLR but an 8 Megapixel
digital with 8 zoom.  The most interesting feature in this 
camera in opinion is the very wide angle it has on the
bottom of the range which lends itself to panoramic shots) which
we are very happy with.
