hi Jeff,

I don't fully understand what you are trying to say above - do you mean
that you are unable to access some websites such as hotmail, yahoo, etc
from your work computer?

Most likely cause is filtering software - are you 100% sure that your
employer does not have filtering enabled? - this could either be done on
the network gateway or even on the computer itself.

Have you tried using another staff member's computer?

You say that you are not able to ping the websites - have you done a
traceroute to see where the packets are being dropped?
