Computer technology makes it easy for the power elite (not
just government) to control. This is not paranoia but fact.
For a dated but pertinent perspective, read George Orwell's
1984 and the fate of Winston Smith. Nasty stuff and already
pervasive in the UK, which probably has the most heavy video
camera surveillance in the world. Widely abused by their
local authorities.
Be vigilant but careful.
