I dial up to Telecom, and under XP connection settings it has 'obtain
DNS Server settings automatically', so I am unsure about how this will
affect Linux.
I know I get a different IP address every time I connect to Telecom.

Im a bit lost, shouldnt the only DNS server info for Linux be the DNS
server settings in XP?

On a positive note, atleast I can connect via my USB Stick, but thats
not solving the problem of my Dialup modem, which I cant remove or
replace, since its a laptop and on the motherboard, and why I cant get
internet sharing.
