[wlug_org] Hard-Drive for Caddy

Hi All...

I turn up for all the meetings and have had the caddy with me. I didn't
bring it to the last meeting as it hasn't got a drive in it.

Carl Klitscher and Jethro have both used it and I believe from memory =
that
Colin Klenner has used it also. I have been updating the contents of the
drive by adding Fedora Core 2 on my own hard-drive and will be adding
Mandrake 10.0 Official.=20

If the LUG decides to get a new drive, then I will copy the files onto =
that
drive. I think the reason not many people know about the caddy / drive =
is
that they were never informed. If the LUG decides to purchase a drive, =
then
I will do a presentation at the Wellington meeting listing what is =
currently
on the drive and that it is available for members to borrow.

I can also add anything else to the drive that member would like (within
reason and bandwidth limits etc).

Regards

Michael

Yeha -- I think a Drive is pretty useless -- it would mean that the
person with the drive would need to turn up every meeting with it.

I mean, we have had a drive in the past, and I have never seen it turn
up since I have been with the LUG - so will it just end up being
something that is forgotten about, or under utilized.

Just my opinion, however I am unable to suggest any alternatives to the
drive proposal.
