Some random pages. What's WLUG specific about them?

Sure. You can wait three years for NZLUG's wiki to get the same number of
pages that WLUG's has. You can take all our content wholesale (as you will
be allowed to do when our Creative Commons relicensing is complete) and put
it on a NZLUG wiki, changing names where appropriate, and just make us
unhappy that you did. Or you can put up a view port into a great resource
of NZ Linux content, with some WLUG specific content sure, and either add
NZLUG or other group specific content, or change the pages in question to be
a bit more neutral if appropriate.

Or if you prefer, you can consider the idea a failure and we can go back to
what we had before. Wikipedia works well because there is one central point
to edit and lots of good information ends up there. If we all have a wiki
with a tiny amount of content, then it makes it hard to remember which bit
was where, etc. Maybe one day we'll find a way to get our content into a
World Linux Wiki. Hell, I'd love a Windows Wiki for some of the stuff I do
at work. I don't mind personally - I'm not trying to force the country to
buckle at the will of the WLUG. I remember having to delete a whole heap of
crap pages when some of the #nzlinux people found the wiki a couple of years
ago. Maybe it's best if we're psuedonymous :)

The nzlug-discuss list has my opinion in full technicolour. One of the
potential goals is "as a New Zealand Linux Resource", and we already had
what we perceieve to be a great NZ-user edited New Zealand Linux Resource.

Absolutely.
