thank you for your help, what with you, and launchpad, I got to nutted
out.
I used SSH downloaded it from the Ubuntu FF packages manager, installed
etc, and after about 2 hrs of trying various combinations of options, it
fell into place. All I need now is a faster pair of NICs and all will be
well
next is
surround sound,
TV card,
webcam,
Google Earth
But I like Linux, fast, clean and better yet, I am not lining gates's
pocket!!
