Hi
I'm quite happy with the status quo, myself. If you want job ads, you
can always search on trademe/seek/etc. If such ads are allowed, where
do you draw the line? The ad that set this all off is something about
Drupal, a CMS that will run on many non-Linux OSes -- really more of an
ad for a web developer with experience with a particular CMS. There are
lots of web developer jobs out there, carrying all of those ads would
ruin the list pretty quickly.
If people were really keen on advertising, maybe another wellylug-ads
list could be set up, which could carry such traffic. I could then
choose to not subscribe to that list, and it could be hosted by someone
who was keen on such ads. Although arguably a website with an rss feed
would be just as useful.
